SUNRISE SUNSET (Current Project)

Two video screens are placed directly above one another. Each simultaneously plays time lapsed footage of multiple sunrises and sunsets taken from different locations. The bottom of the two screens is flipped upside down and plays a sunset which makes the sun move upwards through the frame. The top screen plays a sunrise with the sun naturally moving upwards. Together the timing is choreographed between the two screens so the sun appears to move in a continuous loop and direction upwards throughout the whole film. This piece of work explores the sense of people remaining static, while the planet, sun and outer universe spins around us.
