ONCE UPON A TIME (Current Project)

Is intended as a series of works that explore the physical relationship between humans and the cities they create and live in. The works use real cross sections of road, sidewalk, and paths taken from the city, to interweave with small elements of nature that are alive, inanimate and dead.

The works all incorporate human bones suspended over these cross section samples of city. Each part of the city’s surface used has a varying quantity of natural vegetation growing through its cracks and pores. The plants are fed a diet of water and human blood to keep them alive and grow lights are built into the frame work that surrounds and holds the vitrine together.
