LOVE 2007

A plastic bag is held inflated and flying upside down in the wind of an electric fan. The only way the bag is animated and kept airborn, is through the direct involvement and participation of the viewer. On first encounter the viewer needs to hold the bag up above the fan where, as soon as it catches the wind, it will snap into life. The dynamics of the airflow mean that the bag will naturally, in what appears a seemingly random period of time, move out of the flow of air and so fall back down to the ground. In so doing it requires the input again from the viewer, to start the cycle again.
