SPRING 1993-94

A giant vortex is created in a open topped tank of water. Viewer adjustable through a control panel, the artwork is a quasi-scientific vessel, that allows us to voluntarily enter and control, our imagination and day dreaming. The combination of the vortex with fallen airborne particles [like leaves], reveals the usually unseen fluid dynamics of the water. The naturally inverses view point, prompts the viewers awareness of parallel instances that follow relative laws of physics, creating a mind like state akin to a day dream.
